man with a bird 2

this is a painting l have been working on ,it s turned out as a series ,cant tell you what it s all about, this bird thing ,but it s coming from somewhere ,l guess this is why we need art critics ,they seem to know what s going on in the artists mind !!

It's amazing Billie, the birds' vibrant colours are a wonderful contrast to the nakedness of the man. Wish I could see it!!
Picked up the paintings yesterday, turns out Marilyns' sister is a best friend of my son. Crazy world.

how crazy is that do you mean her sister in ausie ? l met her a coulple of years ago ,as l remember she was into horses big time ..glad you like my latest ,it s only small 20-16cm l think going small calls for deeper intensity ,not such a broad sweep ! what do you think of my nz stuff then ??

Yes horsey sister Susan. Love your NZ stuff, three on the walls already and framing the other two. Go girl.

Don't wish too hard for your day to come. Just keep banging away at the high and solid wall. It will come I'm sure of it.

The bird or dove, something that soars the skies, rises above terra firma, above the earthy ground. I sense that freedom, that the bird so enjoys, is what you yearn for if you were able to be free. Take a leap - follow your heart, you pass this way only once.

I love the blog! It is wonderful watching the progression of the painting. Birds are significant for you I think. I rememebr you telling me about the birds in the garden of queens rd when you first viewed it, it was like a sign that you were home.

Dimitris portrait is awesome
